AI likeness licensing for brands

A brand should be able to show not only that AI content is synthetic, but that the real person depicted approved this use and that the licence was active when it was made.

What the brand agrees

The licence names the brand, campaign, permitted use, format, territory and duration. Script and approval rules belong in the same scope. The person’s identity is licensed for that use, not purchased as a reusable asset.

What happens before generation

The person completes identity verification and reviewed consent. Both parties sign one version of the terms, and payment is secured before licensed generation unlocks. The generation system is restricted to the signed script and terms.

What survives after delivery

A verifiable receipt travels with the authorization record. It links the output to the person, asset version, licence, generation event and credential. Revocation stops future generation, and expiry remains visible in the record.

Common questions

Does a brand buy the person’s identity?

No. The brand receives limited rights for the agreed scope and term. The person’s identity remains theirs.

Can payment happen after the campaign launches?

On SocialGravity, payment is secured before licensed generation unlocks.

What happens when the licence ends?

Future generation under that licence stops. The agreement should also state what happens to content already published.
